Goose Color Genetics
Depending on your breed of goose, you can see different colors including White, Grey, Buff, Blue, Lavendar, Lilac, Cream. Color genes can also include Saddleback and Splash markings.
Ganders (Males) provide the color of their offspring and can also carry 2 colors, with only one being visible, but either color can show up in their goslings. This attribute is referred to as "Split to".
Because of the potential diversity, we have reached out to a lab to see if we can get testing completed for color. Updates to come on this.
Listed below are breeding charts obtained from various sources, scroll to find your ganders color.
